Planx

Digital Legacy: Showcasing UNSW City Planning's Annual Catalogues in a Virtual Archive.

Abstract8 was commissioned to design and develop a virtual archive hall for the University of New South Wales (UNSW) City Planning program. This contemporary hall incorporates subtle nods to traditional library styles, providing a harmonious blend of the old and the new.

The virtual archive was designed with the vision of enabling past, present, and future students to engage with current and relevant content that reflects the evolving ideas within the UNSW City Planning program. It offers visitors the unique opportunity to delve into the archive of student thesis catalogues, with the added convenience of printing a catalogue on demand and having it delivered directly to their doorstep.

Furthermore, the archive hall, named Planx, was designed with scalability in mind. It allows for the gradual addition of new catalogues and the diversification of content, ensuring that it remains a dynamic and valuable resource for years to come.
